This report is part of a project conducted by the PAY Institute for Education and Development in collaboration with Helwast Organization, Reform Institute for Development (PAO), and the Norwegian People's Aid (NPA).

The project included several workshops, such as:

The first workshop of the project was held on July 3, 2017, at the Titanic Hotel in Sulaimani, with the participation of several school principals of vocational institutions in Sulaimani, supervisors, experts, and parliamentary members from the education committees of the Kurdistan Parliament and Sulaimani Provincial Council.
The second workshop was held on July 12, 2017, at the Sara Hall in Halabja, attended by school administrators, teachers, vocational education supervisors in Halabja, representatives from the Technical College and Technical Institute of Halabja, experts, and professionals in the field. The discussions focused on the challenges of vocational education and finding solutions to advance this important sector. Recommendations and suggestions were prepared for this purpose.
The third workshop took place on August 12, 2017, at the Titanic Hotel in Sulaimani. Participants included members of the Kurdistan Parliament, Sulaimani Provincial Council, Deputy Director of General Education in Sulaimani, administrators from Rojava Education, educators, supervisors, experienced professionals, and representatives from major companies and workshops in Sulaimani. The education sector highlighted the challenges facing vocational education, and company representatives discussed the importance of practical skills and their need for qualified personnel in this field. Solutions and recommendations were proposed to advance this vital sector.
The report was finalized on November 9, 2017.

Publication of the Vocational Education Report in Sulaimani and Halabja Provinces

The report on the state of vocational education in the provinces of Sulaimani and Halabja was released at the Vocational Training Center in Sulaimani, attended by several teachers, government officials, private company representatives, and students of the center. The project results on the state of vocational education were shared with the audience.
