This project began at the start of the new Minister of Education's term in the eighth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government. The initial phase of the project was introduced in a report presented as a congratulatory letter on June 25, 2014, at the Chwar Chra Hotel in Erbil. The event was attended by many teachers, civil society organizations, educational administrators, experts, and media professionals. The letter was addressed to the Honorable Minister of Education, Dr. Pishtiwan Sadiq.
In the letter, the Minister of Education was informed about 101 issues regarding the state of education, urging the ministry to address these long-standing crises that have affected the education sector for many years.
During the presentation ceremony, the Minister pledged to collaborate with PAY and education stakeholders within a year to review the actions taken in response to the recommendations in the letter provided by PAY.
