Kurdistan Region Presidency to Issue New Decree on Setting Date for Kurdistan Parliamentary Elections

A member of the media team of the Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq announced that the registration process for lists and candidates for the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections has opened, stating: "So far, 10 parties and two alliances have registered."

Today, Saturday, June 8, Imad Jamil, a member of the media team of the Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq, in his latest televised interview with Rudaw TV channel, said: "The registration doors for lists, candidates, and alliances for the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections have been opened, and so far, 10 parties and two alliances have registered."

He added: "Today, candidates of the participating entities are registering their names with the commission."

The media team member of the Independent High Electoral Commission of Iraq further stated, "The Kurdistan Region Presidency will soon issue a decree to set a new date for the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections."

Regarding the logistical preparations, Imad Jamil added, "The 69 billion dinars allocated for this is sufficient, and we are ready to conduct the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections."

Imad Jamil emphasized that "the preparations for the Kurdistan Parliamentary elections are proceeding well."
